The international fine jewellery trade will convene for the September 2025 edition of Vicenzaoro (VO) to be held at Vicenza Expo Centre, said organiser Italian Exhibition Group (IEG).
The highly anticipated show, scheduled for September 5 to 9, 2025, will feature 1,200 exhibiting brands from 30 countries alongside exciting events and new initiatives, according to Matteo Farsura, global exhibition manager of the jewellery & fashion division at IEG.
VO’s September edition will respond to calls for new ideas, and style and design previews for the coming year with The Jewellery Trendbook 2027+ by IEG’s Trendvision Jewellery + Forecasting Observatory.
VO Vintage will also return after a successful maiden edition in January to once again enchant jewellery and watch enthusiasts and collectors.
Main trade associations such as Confindustria Federorafi, Club degli Orafi, Assogemme and Confcommercio Federpreziosi, meanwhile, will present their economic monitors at the expo to keep industry stakeholders abreast of the latest developments in international markets.
In the Palakiss area, retailers can directly buy jewellery to display in their show windows. Lastly, the city will be participating in ViOff – the Vicenzaoro off-show in collaboration with the Municipality of Vicenza.
“This year, Vicenzaoro September will be preceded by The Vicenza Symposium, an event dedicated to the sector’s purely technological evolution, to be held in the Basilica Palladiana from September 2 to 4. This is a confirmation for the international business community that VO is a trend show,” Farsura added.
Accessible luxury
Vicenzaoro September will serve as a platform for players in the entire jewellery supply chain – from the luxury brands in Icon to manufacturers of jewellery, components and semi-finished products in Creation and packaging in Expression.
Playing a key role in the Italian jewellery market, and that of Europe as a whole, is the Look community segment, featuring accessible or mid-range luxury jewellery. This category already accounted for 38 per cent of the global market in 2023, according to Market Research Future. This figure could reach between 30 per cent and 70 per cent of a brand's turnover, VO organisers said, quoting reports.
VO also provides a specific showcase for emerging brands in the Glamroom, which will present a strategic product bracket for retailers to stock up for winter festivities.
Stones and gems
The Essence community at VO, meanwhile, groups together diamond and gemstone exhibitors. Also in the spotlight will be gemmologists, analysis laboratories and master cutters.
Contemporary watchmaking
Time, for its part, is a B2B community founded in 2022 that hosts contemporary watchmaking and accessory companies. This is an ever-growing sector that is integrating into the VO business targeted at local and international distributors. More than 40 brands will exhibit in this section at the September show.
Expansion
Work continues at the “zero impact” building site for the new 22,000-square metre hall designed by Hamburg-based Studio GMP at the centre of IEG's Vicenza Expo Centre, revealed IEG. The new building will be operational in time for the September 2026 edition. According to IEG, construction will carry on throughout the September 2025 show, thanks to a new and optimised internal navigation system between halls.
VO’s strategic partners are the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) and the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) for buyers coming from key markets. International partners, meanwhile, are CIBJO – The World Jewellery Confederation, India’s Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council, Hong Kong Jewellery & Jade Manufacturers Association and Francéclat.
National partners include Confindustria Federorafi, Confartigianato Orafi, Confcommercio Federpreziosi, CNA Orafi, Club degli Orafi Italy, Confimi Industria Categoria Orafa ed Argentiera, Assogemme, Assocoral, AFEMO – Italian Association of Manufacturers and Exporters of Goldsmithing Machinery.
