The countdown has begun for Jewellery & Gem ASEAN Bangkok (JGAB) 2024, which opens its doors next week.
Scheduled from May 1 to 4 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok, Thailand, the B2B jewellery trade fair for the fast-growing Southeast Asian market will bring together buyers and sellers in one of the world’s leading coloured gemstone and jewellery manufacturing hubs.
Organised by Informa Markets Jewellery, JGAB 2024 will deliver manifold sourcing opportunities, with more than 10,000 gem and jewellery products available from over 500 exhibitors. Visitor numbers are expected to exceed 10,000 over the show’s four-day run.
While JGAB casts the spotlight on the manufacturing expertise of Thailand-based entrepreneurs, international exhibitors from 20 countries will also be showcasing their products at the show.

Aside from the exhibits, JGAB will also offer several business, networking and learning opportunities.
A seminar on opportunities in the ASEAN region and beyond will be held on May 2. Sharing their insights are Ermin Siow, advisor of the Federation of Goldsmiths and Jewellers Association of Malaysia (FGJAM); Jarudol Tulyagijja, vice president of the ASEAN Gems and Jewellery Trade Association (AGJA); Louis Cheung, chairman of the Hong Kong Jewellery & Jade Manufacturers Association (HKJJA); Mia Florencio, president of the Guild of Philippine Jewellers Inc; Le Yen, vice president of the Vietnam Gemstone, Jewelry and Art Crafts Association (VGJA); and Kageeporn Wonpreedee, dean of the College of Creative Industry at the Srinikharinwirot University. Siow, Cheung, Florencio and Yen all likewise serve as AGJA vice-chairmen.
On May 3, Prida Tiasuwan, chairman of the advisory board of Pranda Jewelry PLC; Thanong Leelawatanasuk, deputy director (technical) of The Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand; and Sidthisak Limvatanayingyong, president of the Thai Silver Exporters Association will discuss the importance of sustainability practices in the gems and jewellery industry. The session will be moderated by Kinjal Shah, head of Asian Development at the Responsible Jewellery Council.
Several other seminars or workshops, focusing on topics such as lab-grown gemstones, cold enamel, artificial intelligence in creating jewellery design, will also take place during the show.
