Jewellery, Gem & Technology in Dubai (JGTD) will feature a strong lineup of industry talks that will arm visitors with important information that will help take their business to the next level.
The show’s opening ceremony on February 12 at the Dubai World Trade Centre at 2:30 pm will be immediately followed by the JWA Dubai Special Edition Awards Presentation Ceremony and Panel Discussion.
In its 2023 Special Edition, JWA Dubai, a regional edition of the Jewellery World Awards (JWA), is honouring industry champions that have proven their mettle through innovation, tenacity and entrepreneurial spirit amid the challenges of recent years.
Three of the four honourees will participate in the panel discussion focusing on “Inspired Leadership in a Post-Pandemic World.” These are Amit Dhamani, managing director of Dhamani, Honouree for Brand of the Year – Retail; Marcelo Ribeiro, director of Belmont Emeralds, Honouree for Outstanding Coloured Gemstone Enterprise of the Year; and Kobi Sevdermish, CEO of Advanced Quality ACC Ltd, who is being recognised as Young Entrepreneur of the Year.
Also sharing their views are Ahmed Bin Sulayem, executive chairman and CEO of DMCC (Dubai Multi Commodities Centre) and Tawhid Abhullad, chairman of the Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group (DGJG).
The session will be moderated by Martin Leake, special advisor – Precious Stones of DMCC.

On February 13, JGTD will host a presentation on emerging developments and environmental changes, and their impact on consumer culture and purchasing behaviour.
Scheduled from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm, the session entitled The Jewellery Trendbook 2024+ “From Consumer Culture to New Market Opportunities” will be conducted by Paola De Luca, creative director and founder of Trendvision Jewellery + Forecasting.
