Lapis lazuli, chrysoprase and turquoise are among the coloured gemstones set to enthral professional trade visitors at Jewellery & Gem WORLD Hong Kong (JGW).
A respected manufacturer specialising in lapis lazuli, Michael Gems Co will offer the blue stone in various shapes and sizes. Established in 2006, the company sources its gemstones directly from the most reputable mines in the world before processing these in its workshop in Huizhou. China. It exports to a global clientele and also maintains a showroom in Hong Kong. The company also produces mother-of-pearl and abalone cabochons in rectangular, tear-drop, oval and round shapes.
Meanwhile, buyers seeking chrysoprase should visit Po Yuen Gems Co’s booth, where it will display goods from its own mine in Queensland, Australia. Apart from oval and tear-drop cabochons, offerings will include chrysoprase jewellery such as necklaces.
Ming Hing Gem Co Ltd, on the other hand, will shine the spotlight on Arizona Sleeping Beauty turquoise. This will be available in oval and teardrop cabochons as well as rough material, among others. The company, which also trades in Australian opal, employs experienced gemstone cutters in its factories in mainland China and Hong Kong, and maintains purchasing offices in the US and Australia.
