Christie's has appointed Kimberly Miller as global managing director for Luxury, following an exceptional year for the auction house's luxury segment.
Miller was previously regional managing director for Luxury Americas, where she led business strategy, sales expansion and financial performance across the Jewelry, Watches, Wine and Handbags departments.
Her promotion comes on the heels of a successful jewellery auction in Geneva last November where Christie's sold the Mellon Blue diamond for CHF 20.5 million (around U$25.6 million—the highest‑value jewellery lot sold at auction in 2025.
This, in turn, contributed to a week of sales up 24 per cent year‑on‑year. Overall, the Luxury category realised US$795 million, marking 17 per cent growth from the previous year.
Prior to joining Luxury, Miller held senior specialist and management roles in 20th Century Design, having begun her career in the Wine Department at Christie's in 2010.
"In her new role, she will continue to be based in New York and will direct all aspects of our luxury business across both live and online auctions and Private Sales, and will work closely with colleagues across the specialist departments in Geneva, Hong Kong, London, New York and Paris," the auction house said.
