Italian jewellery brand Sicis Jewels has extended its retail footprint to Asia with the opening of a boutique in Hong Kong.
Opened on October 17 in the city’s Central district, the store showcases the brand’s latest collections, including Anemone Sea, Fantasia, and Tesserae, to name a few. It also carries a selection of jewellery pieces created particularly for the Chinese market.
A collaboration with high jewellery and watches retailer Carlson, the boutique marks Sicis’ first bricks-and-mortar presence in the Far East market as part of its global expansion. The brand, known for its unique micromosaic work using coloured gemstones, is well entrenched in Europe, with flagship boutiques in Milan, Paris and London, among others.
Creative Director Gioia Placuzzi told JNA that Sicis Jewels’ top markets include the Middle East and Asia. The US is likewise growing in importance for the brand, which started promotional activities there this year.
"Asia is a fundamental market for us. Hong Kong, in particular, has always been the hub that opens the door to business opportunities in mainland China. We expect the boutique to serve as the gateway to tap into the entire Chinese market," Placuzzi said.
Sicis intends to launch a dedicated channel on social media platform Little Red Book in the coming months to provide Chinese customers with easier access to information on the brand and its creations.
