Element Six, the lab-grown diamond arm of De Beers Group, has named its executive director for sales and marketing, Siobhán Duffy as new chief executive, effective February 1. 

Siobhán, who will take over from current chief executive Walter Huehn, will also join the De Beers Group executive committee.

With more than 30 years of experience at Element Six, Duffy has held a series of senior management positions: She led the Oil & Gas business unit through unprecedented
growth and headed the Element Six Innovation function as executive director from July 2014.

Duffy said Element Six “is at an exciting juncture,” citing strong performance in existing markets and solid potential for growth. 

Element Six, part of the De Beers Group, is a leader in the design, development and production of synthetic diamond and tungsten carbide advanced material solutions. The company operates worldwide with primary manufacturing facilities in Germany, Ireland, South Africa, the UK and the US.
