Building channels for coloured gemstone traders to enter the Chinese market alongside industry trends and growth prospects are the highlights of a much-anticipated biennial event hosted by the International Colored Gemstone Association (ICA).

The ICA Congress 2022, scheduled for September 23 to 25 in Shenzhen, China, will feature a live event for in-person attendees in the IBC Mall as well as a virtual presentation for global participants. 

Coinciding with the main event are the Global Jewelry Design Competition and Art & Color Exhibition, which will be held simultaneously from September 16 to October 16 alongside a fashion exhibition and coloured gemstone jewellery auction.

Exploring prospects in the Chinese market, industry trends as well as growth opportunities in the coloured gemstone sector are among the highlights of the 2022 edition of ICA Congress.

According to ICA, the hybrid event is aimed at establishing platforms enabling China and other countries to develop business and broaden cultural exchanges. It added, “The event will support co-building of development engines through extensive consultation, explore new pathways for profitable cooperation, unleash the giant potential of China’s coloured gemstone market, and introduce growth opportunities.”

The association last held an ICA Congress in Bangkok, Thailand in 2019.
