Organisers of the Bharat Diamond Week is offering a digital version of the event amid pandemic-led travel and business restrictions. 

The show's 4th edition was originally scheduled for August 5 to 7 in Mumbai.

"Looking at the unprecedented events that are transpiring the world over due to the dreaded Covid-19, it was decided by the committee to go digital," the Bharat Diamond Bourse (BDB) announced. 

It also underscored the need to make diamonds available to buyers once the industry is back on track.

A digital platform will serve as an avenue for them to purchase goods and "go on with their respective business," BDB President Anoop Mehta said. 

The organiser is yet to announce dates for Bharat Diamond Week - Digital.
