Japan’s pearl jewellers are aiming to catch the fancy of discerning buyers at Jewellery & Gem WORLD Hong Kong (JGW) with their lustrous collections.

Tokyo-based P&J Co Ltd is offering a range of Japanese Akoya pearl jewellery pieces in 18-karat gold. The pieces exude the subtle elegance of pearls mixed with the dazzle of diamonds.

The company is showcasing a variety of designs, led by expertly designed pearl and diamond earrings and necklaces. Classic pearl necklaces are also available.

For its part, Kuwayama Corp, founded in 1964, is shining the light on fine-quality Japanese Akoya pearl pieces. Taking pride of place in its booth is a four-strand necklace featuring 5mm to 9mm Akoya pearls and a brooch in 18-karat gold adorned with 74 Akoya pearls with sizes ranging from 3.5mm to 8mm. A necklace with 24 Mabe pearls of 13mm size is also on display.
