“Journey with Minerals” exhibition, K11 Musea
If there is just one reason out of hundreds to visit K11 Musea in Tsim Sha Tsui this September, it has to be the “Journey with Minerals” exhibition organised by L’ECOLE Asia Pacific, School of Jewelry Arts in partnership with the renowned Mineralogy Museum of Mines in Paris.
Using 40 spectacular gemstones and jewels, the exhibition presents the fascinating shapes and structures of minerals and their journey through nature and industry, including jewellery making. K11 Musea is a pioneering cultural and retail complex offering an eclectic rotation of art events, collaborations and experiences from international architects, artistes and designers. The “Journey with Minerals” exhibition is on the 5th floor of the sprawling ultra-modern mall. Prior registration is required.

I.M. Pei exhibit, M+ Museum
Since it opened in 2021, M+ has become the leading museum of contemporary arts and culture, not just for Hong Kong, but for the region and beyond. Designed by Swiss Architectural firm Herzog & De Meuron, M+’s impressive collections are focused on visual art, design and architecture as well as moving images from the 20th and 21st centuries.
The current must-see is an in-depth retrospective on the work of internationally celebrated architect Ieoh Ming Pei (1917-2019), which includes Hong Kong’s Bank of China Tower. The engrossing exhibit, “I.M. Pei: Life is Architecture,” examines Pei’s work through drawings, sketches, videos, models and newly commissioned photographs of Pei’s buildings captured by contemporary photographers.
