An exceptional offering of rare gemstones will mesmerise visitors at the Fine Gem Pavilion of Jewellery & Gem WORLD Hong Kong (JGW) 2024 from September 16 to 20 at the AsiaWorld-Expo.
Among the treasures at Kreis Jewellery GmbH & Co KG’s booth at JGW is a stunning 22.37-carat Padparadscha sapphire from Sri Lanka. Other highlights include a 7.79-carat Paraiba tourmaline from Mozambique and a pair of Colombian, “Muzo green” emeralds with minor cedar oil weighing a total of 9.52 carats.
A multi-generational family business based in Germany, Kreis Jewellery prides itself on meticulously selecting fine gemstones for their rarity, exquisite quality and potential for value appreciation over time.
ALine GmbH from Switzerland, which specialises in top-quality coloured gemstones, plans to display fine spinels, unheated rubies and sapphires as well as unusual spessartite and tsavorite garnets. These gems are all characterised by their excellent quality, outstanding cuts and striking colour nuances, the company explained.
Customers of the coloured stone specialist include prestigious jewellery and watch brands, along with jewellers and collectors in Switzerland and markets worldwide.
“We have direct access to mines and producers, and we nurture partnerships in various countries that enable us to source exceptional rough and polished gemstones, particularly from new finds,” ALine said.
Similarly, Paris-based Garaude, which deals in natural, untreated coloured gemstones, will offer a range of extraordinary rubies, sapphires, emeralds and spinels, among other wonders.
Garaude said it ensures the authenticity, traceability and superior quality of its gemstones by sourcing ruby, sapphire and emerald rough directly from trusted mines.
All the rough is cut in-house at its atelier in Bangkok, enabling it to maintain full control over the cutting process and bring out the best in each gemstone, it continued.
According to Garaude, its customers value its strong commitment to quality and ethical standards. To better serve growing demand, the company recently expanded its market presence with a new office in New York.
For its part, EMCO Gem Inc in New York will cast the spotlight on its ethically sourced fine Colombian emeralds.
Prized gems include a single 5-carat gem-quality, emerald-cut Colombian emerald; a group of meticulously cut, cushion shapes; and expertly matched pairs of 3-carat and 4-carat Colombian emeralds.
“We are proud to be able to showcase exceptional quality alongside rare no-oil emeralds as single and matching pairs as well as layouts and finished jewellery,” EMCO Gem remarked.
The multi-generational family-owned business is a vertically integrated company, buying directly from the mines, then handling all the cutting and marketing at its own facilities. ”We refine the beauty of each stone in-house with meticulous attention to detail,” the company added.
