Paolo Passuello plays a pivotal role in expanding the market for Italian jewellery by highlighting its craftsmanship, quality and creativity on the
international stage.

Paolo Passuello, president of the Vicenza-based Gold & Silver Italian Group since 2017, tirelessly champions the quality, creativity, design and innovative techniques of the “Made in Italy” brand of jewellery worldwide.
He has spearheaded initiatives to promote the capabilities of and expand the market for the consortium’s members – over 100 gold and silver jewellery manufacturers from Italy. These include participating in trade events in emerging markets such as Malaysia, Indonesia, South Korea and Canada, and ensuring effective outcomes for group members at the major international trade shows.
“Italian jewellery is recognised and appreciated all over the world. Although our cost of production may be higher, we continually invest in new technologies and explore new designs to further growth,” maintained Passuello, who is also CEO of Re Sole Srl.
Through the group’s activities, he casts the spotlight on Italy’s prowess in jewellery craftsmanship and design. On the cards are trade events in Tokyo this October and Seoul next year as well as possibly a dedicated office in the US.
Passuello attributes the group’s success over the years to collaboration and partnership, working closely with trade fair organisers and government bodies to achieve its objectives.
To him, the consortium is the perfect embodiment of strength in numbers. “Taken individually, we are small companies. But together, we are an entire supply chain – we refer business to one another, share information and work towards each other’s growth. We speak with one voice; and we stand together. This makes us strong,” he said.
