Pearl jewellery brands are highlighting the timeless appeal of South Sea pearls in their latest collections, which feature contemporary and innovative designs that celebrate the beauty and versatility of these elegant gems.
Australian pearl specialist Paspaley commemorates the Year of the Horse with a selection of South Sea pearl jewellery pieces set in yellow, white or rose gold.
These include the new Seahorse Coin Charm carved in mother-of-pearl and framed in gold; the Lavalier pearl earrings and necklace embellished with rubies and pink sapphires; the Delfini Blue pearl strand necklace and bracelet set; and the Blushing Cicada stud earrings with keshi pearls and pink sapphires.
“Each creation pairs the soft radiance of Australian South Sea pearls with gemstones of meaning and brilliance, inviting passion, prosperity and a beautifully guided new beginning,” the brand stated.
Meanwhile, Atlas Pearls has launched its Linked Legacy Collection, featuring baroque South Sea pearls sourced directly from its own farms. Bold sterling silver links that symbolise strength and unity are incorporated into each jewellery piece.
Pride of place in the collection belongs to the Linked Legacy strand, which consists of 23 baroque South Sea pearls with an average size of 9mm.
“Measuring 53cm in length, this distinctive design features a half strand of South Sea pearls seamlessly complemented by a polished sterling silver chain, reimagining the traditional pearl strand with a contemporary edge,” the company said.
Autore Moda, for its part, showcases the versatility of South Sea pearls in its Lovelink Collection. The line includes a diverse array of South Sea pearl and coloured gemstone charms that can be attached to sleek gold or silver chains, as well as keshi pearl bracelets and necklaces. Encouraging creativity and self-expression, the pieces are designed to be mixed, matched and layered to suit personal style preferences.
