Continuous advancements in jewellery manufacturing tools and equipment are aiding jewellers in realising more creative designs, optimising production processes and enhancing product quality.
Formlabs, a US-based company specialising in 3D printers and post-processing solutions, is introducing its latest innovation, the True Cast resin. This new wax-filled material is designed for precision-casting of intricate jewellery and complex engineering components.
True Cast Resin is formulated for reliable, precise casting of detailed patterns up to 5 mm thick. True Cast Resin integrates into a wide range of burnout schedules with low thermal expansion, minimal shrinkage and an ash content of just 0.03 per cent to ensure a clean burnout process and consistently excellent casting outcomes.
“Parts printed with True Cast Resin are highly accurate with crisp features, smooth surfaces and exceptional detail, minimising post-processing and finishing time,” shared the company.
On the other hand, UK-based Durston Tools is highlighting its signature Agile rolling mill range, particularly the new Elite models.
These new rolling mills feature a durable and smooth powder-coated copper finish, expanded space for pattern or flat sheet rolling, and a suite of side extensions alongside other additional features.
The company noted that the new models’ enhanced capabilities aim to streamline metalworking projects, offering more options to suit jewellery manufacturers’ needs.
