Prices are on the upswing and buyers are increasingly investing in them as evidenced by top-performing fancy colour diamonds in auctions.
Sotheby’s recently sold a fancy vivid blue and pink diamond ring for HK$35 million (around US$4.5 million) and a fancy intense green and white diamond ring for HK$23.77 million (around US$3.05 million) at the 2021 Magnificent Jewels Autumn Sales in Hong Kong.
According to the auction house, fancy colour diamonds “continue to be in hot demand.”
