Sublime Shine: Metal Innovations in the Art of Jewellery, at Booth 3M260 of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC), showcases innovations in gold, platinum, silver and other metals fundamental to fine jewellery creation. Organised by Informa Markets’ Jewellery & Gem Knowledge Community, the special exhibit is supported by Industry Partners, the World Gold Council (WGC) and Platinum Guild International (PGI). JGW 2025 also features an expanded gold jewellery zone, which includes WGC’s first-ever Hard Pure Gold Pavilion with 14 gold jewellery manufacturers from China. For its part, the Platinum Jewellery Pavilion organised by PGI houses six platinum jewellery companies from India and China, who are making their maiden appearance at the show. The ASEAN Gems and Jewellery Trade Association (AGJA) Conference will be held this morning from 10:30am to 1:00pm at The Stage in the Grand Foyer of HKCEC. This milestone event is jointly organised by AGJA and the Hong Kong Jewellery and Jade Manufacturers Association (HKJJA), which is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year. ASEAN stands for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. The conference will be followed by the second session of the show’s Sustainability Heroes Panel Series. Taking place from 2:30pm to 3:30pm, the “Luxury Meets Responsibility: Evolving Consumer Values in Fine Jewellery” panel discussion features winners and finalists of the Sustainability Awards 2025 by JWA (Jewellery World Awards). Solid turnout According to Celine Lau, director of Jewellery Fairs at Informa Markets Jewellery, the first two days of JGW at AsiaWorld-Expo saw an increase in visitor numbers, compared to last year. “Figures indicate the strong return of buyers from China. Exhibitors also report a more diverse group of international visitors at this year’s show. For instance, they mentioned seeing more Russian buyers as well as European visitors from countries such as France and Italy,” Lau shared. Visitor pre-registrations from the US were however down, given current geopolitical tensions and tariff uncertainties. Noting that many members of the gem and jewellery trade aim to diversify their markets, Lau said, “Part of our role is to help the industry explore new markets. The ‘Belt and Road’ countries, along with ASEAN, are relatively more stable in the political and economic sense and offer better environments to help business thrive at present.” South Sea pearl earrings by Autore Pearls Pty Ltd Celine Lau of Informa Markets Jewellery, Wu Xingang of Fischer Instrumentation, Scarlett Clauss of Osmium-Institut Germany, Hatta Chang of Hatta New World, Eva Cheung of Yuen Kee Bullion, Hong Zhang of World Gold Council, Tai Wong of Platinum Guild International and Miro Ng, consultant, Jewellery & Gem Knowledge Community/Sublime Shine

SHOW DAILY by JNA • 4 NEWS JewelleryNet.com Day 4 • 18 September 2025 Visitors to Jewellery & Gem WORLD Hong Kong (JGW) 2025 can marvel at the extraordinary brilliance of platinum jewellery pieces on display at the Platinum Jewellery Pavilion in Hall 3D of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Organised by the Platinum Guild International (PGI®), the pavilion houses BN Jewellers India Pvt Ltd, Jewelex India Pvt Ltd, ORO Precious Metals Pvt Ltd, King Li Holdings HK Co Ltd, Jinbotong Technology Co Ltd and Shenzhen Kinch Jewelry Co Ltd, Guangdong. PGI’s participation in JGW 2025 aligns with the group’s broader market development strategy. According to Tai Wong, director of Global Innovation & Product Development at PGI, opportunities abound in the global platinum jewellery market, led by platinum’s current price advantage relative to gold. PGI also sees significant prospects in sectors beyond bridal like love gifting, self-purchase, fashionable luxury and men’s jewellery. Recent months have likewise witnessed remarkable innovations, with state-of-the-art technology enabling the manufacture of platinum products that appeal to previously untapped consumer segments. Platinum craftsmanship Exhibitors at the Platinum Jewellery Pavilion are showcasing innovative designs at JGW. BN Jewellers India Pvt Ltd, an Authorized Platinum Jewellery Manufacturer under PGI India since 2009, is unveiling new jewellery collections across PGI brands Men of Platinum, Platinum Love Bands and Platinum Evara. The Alvar Collection is crafted for the man who lives with intention and values meaning, depth and authenticity, noted the jeweller. Alvar is also a statement of identity and purpose, the company said. For its part, Jewelex India Pvt Ltd, with over six decades of industry experience, has worked with platinum since 1999. “Platinum, being a metal for the more evolved consumer, is continually reimagined by our design team to retain its premium positioning,” it stated. The company is highlighting its design innovation and manufacturing excellence at JGW, with a focus on machine-manufactured wedding bands and men’s jewellery. “We also have new concepts in eternity rings, personalised text engravings on rings, and several other unique creations reflecting both craftsmanship and contemporary appeal,” revealed Jewelex. Established over 25 years ago, market leader ORO Precious Metals Pvt Ltd has modern facilities in India and Dubai. It specialises in couple bands, comfort-fit products and high-precision engineered bracelets, with strong traction in men’s kadas (traditional bangle) and rings across India and Dubai. ORO is eyeing international buyers at JGW. “We hope to strengthen our retailer base beyond the Middle East and build long-term collaborations with our partners,” it added. Relatively new to the market, Shenzhen Kinch Jewelry Co Ltd has quickly established itself at the forefront of platinum innovation. “We love working with platinum because of its superior attributes. There is a strong potential for platinum to grow further, given its intrinsic value and the high price of gold,” noted the company. Kinch Jewelry also started doing platinum electroforming, adding that the market is ready to introduce revolutionary electroformed platinum designs. “More modern and gender-fluid designs could resonate strongly with today’s highly perceptive consumers,” it added. This innovative platinum electroforming technology resulting in hard platinum, meanwhile, is the focus of Jinbotong Technology Co Ltd. “Platinum created using this process has high hardness, excellent wear resistance and strong anti-oxidation properties. It is also ideal for complex stone-setting and enamelling techniques, making it widely applicable for various jewellery products,” it remarked. Notably, jewellery pieces made of electroformed hard platinum are lightweight but more affordable, so they maintain a premium feel and design aesthetic, noted Jinbotong.
