Hong Kong Museum of Art Renovated in 2019, the Hong Kong Museum of Art or HKMoA has benefited from its grand makeover: Floor-to-ceiling windows offer expansive views of Victoria Harbour while the spaces within have expanded to a total of 10,000 square metres to house 18,800 sets of art pieces and artefacts in 12 galleries. The current special exhibition, “Fragrance of Time – In Search of Chinese Art of Scent,” delves into the rich culture of fragrance deeply embedded in Chinese ancestor and deity worship and to enrich the daily life of ancient people. Three separate art installations – A Story of Time Through Scents; Gathering of Ten Fragrances; and The Scent of Raindrops – support the main exhibition, providing olfactory delight. It is jointly organised by the Hong Kong Museum of Art and the Shanghai Museum and solely sponsored by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust. Date: June 28 to October 16, 2024 Venue: 10 Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui Opening Hours: 10am to 6pm from Monday to Wednesday and Friday; and 10am to 9pm on Saturday, Sunday and public holiday (Closed on Thursdays) Ticketing: Tickets for the exhibition are available up to seven days in advance at all URBTIX outlets and self-service ticketing kiosks at HKMoA or other designated locations. JNA is launching three of its highly anticipated titles at Jewellery & Gem WORLD Hong Kong: Its September-October 2024 issue and the latest editions of its two popular annual supplements, Pearl Report 2024-2025 and the Equipment & Supplies Directory 2025. JNA September-October 2024 examines the jewellery gold rush as global, regional and local markets’ fascination for yellow gold jewellery gains steam despite high gold prices. This bumper issue also explores emerging business opportunities in the market, from the jewellery retail scene in Hong Kong and Southeast Asia to the growing significance of live sellers as a sales channel for the gem and jewellery industry. In keeping with Informa Markets Jewellery’s focus on pearls this year, JNA adds to the Orient Odyssey experience with a special section on the pearl industry, featuring insights from leading farmers, jewellers and trade associations. For a dedicated perspective on this thriving sector, look no further than Pearl Report 20242025. This edition delves into market conditions for leading pearl players along with sustainability and design initiatives that are shaping the future of the pearl trade. Another essential resource is Equipment & Supplies Directory 2025, which features over 600 listings of suppliers and agents of jewellery equipment from more than 30 countries and regions. It also contains a special editorial feature on the impact of artificial intelligence in the jewellery space.
