Li revealed that demand from the US, the UK, Switzerland and India for high-quality coloured gemstones was particularly robust this year. “Despite the high prices of goods since last year, our sales have been increasing steadily as the market continues to seek good-quality coloured gemstones. As we source directly from our own mines and associate mines, we have been able to meet market demand for premium goods,” she said. Li now aims to also tap business opportunities in Asia. She is already seeing much promise from China and India, which are among the markets she is eyeing at the show. “We are delighted that JGW is back to provide the gem and jewellery community with this much-needed platform to connect with important buyers and fulfil the market’s needs. The show provides us with plenty of avenues for growth while enabling us to introduce a wider variety and quality of coloured gemstones to potential buyers,” Li said.
