World’s biggest B2B fine jewellery event makes grand return Jewellery & Gem WORLD Hong Kong (JGW) is back in its original “One Fair, Two Venues” B2B format, with more than 3,500 exhibitors set to present their latest collections to professional trade buyers from around the world. Opening today at the AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE) is the jewellery materials section covering diamonds, gemstones and pearls, which runs until September 22, 2023. Finished jewellery, packaging solutions, tools and equipment, and jewellery industryrelated technologies will be hosted at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) from September 20 to 24, 2023. The show houses over 40 theme and group pavilions including the Fine Gem Pavilion, which promises spectacular finds at the AWE. Previously known as the September Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair, JGW is celebrating two remarkable milestones this year – the exhibition’s 40th edition and the 40th anniversary of JNA, Informa Markets Jewellery’s flagship jewellery trade publication. “This is a once-in-a-lifetime fair, which is made all the more special following the significant impact that the pandemic has had on our industry. Coloured gemstones and jewellery await visitors to the booth of Yee On Gems & Jewellery Factory Co Ltd in Hall 3 of the AsiaWorld-Expo. Aside from its vast collection of loose stones, the company offers innovative jewellery creations that highlight the beauty and versatility of coloured gems. Turquoise, for instance, features prominently in its line of pendants that also double as brooches. Its Alcedo Atthis or kingfisher brooch is made of vibrant blue and green stabilised turquoise cabochons set in gold-plated silver. The range also includes a sunflower design made of stabilised turquoise and a cherry blossom variation consisting of blue turquoise pieces. Extraordinary 40 To mark this special year, JGW is presenting the Extraordinary 40 (E40) Awards, under the auspices of the Jewellery World Awards (JWA). Several E40 Awardees will participate in a series of high-profile panel discussions where they will share their insights, experiences and expertise.
