It will come on the heels of JGW Hong Kong Special Edition from September 16 to 19, which will cater primarily to Hong Kong-based trade buyers and jewellery lovers due to the city’s continued travel restrictions. The full-scale version of JGW will return to Hong Kong in 2023. International lineup JGW Singapore will offer a wide range of products, including diamonds, coloured gemstones, pearls, fei cui (jadeite jade), fine jewellery, antique and vintage collections, pre-owned jewellery, silver creations, labgrown diamonds and technology solutions. The exhibition will host more than 20 country and product pavilions featuring vendors from Colombia, Germany, India, Japan, Korea, Turkey, Hong Kong, Italy, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Thailand, the US and member-companies of the Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC), the Israel Diamond Institute (IDI) and the International Colored Gemstone Association (ICA). In addition, the Premier Pavilion will present jewellery masterpieces, design-focused fine collections and investment-quality gemstones. Exhibitors in this section, which is exclusive to the Singapore event, include luxury jewellers Crivelli, FEI, House of Gems, Heinz Mayer, Gorgoglione and KGK Jewellery; diamond manufacturers AMTC, A.A. Rachminov and SwissDiam; and coloured gemstone suppliers Paul Wild OHG, Miranda Group Co Ltd and Gerhard Hahn. Also heading to Singapore are industry-leading companies such as contemporary fine jewellers ADJ (Thai) Co Ltd, H V Jewels Co Ltd and Jewelcraft; fine and antique jewellery dealer Gemolithos Group GmbH; and gemstone specialists Blue Gems Co Ltd and RMC Gems. Business opportunities Confirmed exhibitors are looking forward to the in-person trading and networking afforded by the Singapore event. “It is a must that we participate in JGW Singapore,” said Ioannis Alexandris, founder and CEO of Gemolithos. “It is, of course, going to be a different B2B buying experience but we believe Singapore can be a great new opportunity for us. We hope this can be a strong alternative to the iconic September show until the Covid situation improves in Hong Kong.” Kowloon Trading Company is looking to meet new clients and explore possible synergies at the show, noted managing director Sidharth Agarwal. Opals Mine Factory Ltd believes JGW Singapore will help jumpstart its trade business again, according to operations manager Jessica Chan. While the Hong Kongbased company had been relying on local business these last two years, it is eager to once again tap international buyers. “The Singapore Fair will be a great opportunity to meet new customers – it will be a good start. Our longtime clients will be visiting us at the show so we will bring all our new products – loose stones and jewellery alike,” Chan said. Ankit Jain of Green Gems is just as eager to meet new and existing clients at the show. “Our major markets are the US, Asia and Europe. Some of our loyal customers are coming to see us in Singapore. We are also excited to discover this new market,” he said. Green Gems offers fine-quality coloured gemstones such as emeralds, rubies, sapphires, Paraiba tourmalines and alexandrites, among others. Lab-grown diamond producer Fenix Diamonds (HK) Ltd will showcase a broad selection of its products at JGW Singapore. Company director Subahu Shah said, “Hong Kong has not yet opened its borders, so we want to explore other potential markets such as Singapore.” The Germany Pavilion will present the finest coloured gemstones, jewellery and technology innovations of its member-companies. “We are very happy about the opportunity in Singapore.
