Aptly described by Tiffany as the ultimate expression of its values and design philosophies, Botanica represents an inevitable fusion between tradition and innovation to meet the ever-evolving needs of the new generation. The finest diamonds and coloured gemstones shine in modern interpretations of flora and nature as they breathe life into high jewellery designs across four distinct themes: Dandelion, Orchid and Thistle alongside opulent masterpieces created by legendary jewellery designer Jean Schlumberger. “Every design inspired by these natural creations re-emerge as innovative, transformable jewels,” noted Tiffany. “Each rebellious bloom is part of an otherworldly garden of jewels and a breathtaking display of the house’s extraordinary savoir-faire.” The themes reimagine specific floral motifs that have long been a source of creative inspiration at Tiffany but with a modern twist. Take for instance a transformable Dandelion necklace adorned with a 31-carat aquamarine and diamonds, which took two years to make. The piece can be worn in five unique styles, thanks to its bold and layered designs and innovative mechanisms that allow seamless transformation. In the Orchid collection, a necklace with a fancy yellow diamond of over 51 carats nestled among a chain of white diamonds is also versatile. The yellow diamond pendant can be worn as a brooch while the diamond necklace, reminiscent of the orchid stem, can be worn alone. A necklace with South Sea pearls interspersed with custom-cut pyramidshaped blue sapphires is the star of the Thistle collection while natureinspired creations by Schlumberger are reimagined with contemporary design elements such as the classic “The Bird on a Rock” brooch. Inspired by an exotic bird resembling a cockatoo that Schlumberger encountered on one of his many trips abroad, the first Bird on a Rock brooch was introduced in the 1960s and has since become one of his most iconic designs. The whimsical bird with diamond plumage and ruby eye has been known to perch on different rocks, including white diamonds, cushion-cut pink morganites and oval-cut sapphires, to name a few. “And these extraordinary pieces are set with Tiffany legendary gemstones such as morganite, which was discovered and pioneered by Tiffany,” revealed the jeweller.
