DESIGN 32 | JNA Nov/Dec 2021 B ulgari has taken the wraps off of its Magnifica high jewellery collection, its most opulent and daring selection yet. Magnifica comprises over 350 alluring jewellery pieces, 122 of which are new creations. The bejewelled masterpieces are colourful, versatile, transformable and bright, showcasing exquisite coloured gemstones and Bulgari’s inimitable craftsmanship. Among the showstoppers is the Mediterranean Queen Necklace, with five oval cushion-cut Paraiba tourmalines weighing a total of 473.82 carats. For its part, the Prodigious Colour necklace features five vibrant cabochons – amethyst, citrine, rubellite, blue topaz and pink quartz. Meanwhile, the Emerald Ellipse necklace captivates with diamond and emerald spirals spanning from its centre stone, a splendid 64.03-carat emerald. The Baroque Spiral necklace weaves diamond-studded spirals with emerald, ruby and sapphire cabochons into a three-dimensional, dynamic whole. Also commanding attention is the Ruby Metamorphosis set. Its diamond and ruby necklace offers at least nine styling options, including a sautoir, a choker and a brooch. This can be paired with the set’s 6.80-carat pigeon's blood ruby ring. Another Magnifica head-turner is the Imperial Spinel necklace, which boasts the world’s fourth largest spinel at 131.21 carats. Bulgari has also enriched its iconic Divas’ Dream Collection with the introduction of a rich colour palette and unprecedented interpretations of the distinctive, signature fan-shape motif. Divas’ Dream combines Roman history with contemporary elegance, paying homage to the refinement and charm of modern-day divas. The graceful curves and refined designs of the collection’s emblematic motif draw inspiration from Rome’s Caracalla mosaics. Speaking to every woman’s inner diva, the latest additions feature fresh selections in pink opal, carnelian and malachite, among others.
