FAIRS | EVENTS 10 | JNA Mar/Apr 2020 由印度寶石首飾出口促進局 (GJEPC) 主辦的第 13 屆國際珠 寶展 IIJS 以及第七屆印度寶石及首飾器材展 (IGJME) 於 2 月中 旬在孟買順利舉行,為 2020 年亞洲珠寶商貿採購活動揭開 序幕。 超過 700 家參展商向來自世界各地的專業買家展示最新 產品,包括充滿特色的創意珠寶設計。 GJEPC 主席 Pramod Kumar Agrawal 表示,作為珠寶業界的年初盛事, IIJS 為行 業注入正面動力,為一眾買家提供優質的創意珠寶及高新科 技器材,是印度珠寶界商業周期中不可或缺的活動。 Agrawal 更公佈該機構將於 2020 年 4 月 1 至 3 日在齋 浦爾推出以國際買家為目標的全新展覽會 India Gem & Jewellery 。 Agrawal 重申已獲印度政府承諾對當地珠寶界的支持, 包括已落實將貴金屬進口稅從 12.5% 下調至 4% 、成品鑽及 寶石進口稅從 7.5% 降至 2.5% ,以及為促進在孟買的特別通 報區進行毛坯鑽貿易而採取的一系列新稅務法規。 AT INDIA’S PREMIER SHOW Upbeat prospects T he Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) successfully held the 13 th IIJS Signature Gem & Jewellery Show and the 7 th India Gem & Jewellery Machinery Expo (IGJME) from February 13 to 16 in Mumbai, further cementing India’s top status in the global gemstone and jewellery industry. More than 700 exhibitors displayed their goods at the show, setting off the 2020 buying season. It also had a Jewellery Start-Up Zone, which featured the works of women entrepreneurs and budding jewellery designers. The Jewellery Manufacturing Excellence Handbook, a compilation of 20 papers presented at the India Jewellery Manufacturing Excellence Symposium, was likewise unveiled at the show. Pramod Kumar Agrawal, chairman of GJEPC, commented, “IIJS Signature is the first trade show in the calendar year and regarded as the nerve centre of jewellery design and technology. It is an integral part of Indian jewellers’ business cycles.” Agrawal also announced that GJEPC is organising a new show in Jaipur, India Gem & Jewellery, to be held from April 1 to 3, 2020, mainly for international buyers. He further discussed GJEPC’s initiatives to secure government support for the jewellery sector such as lower import duties on precious metals from 12.5 per cent to 4 per cent, and on polished diamonds and gems from 7.5 per cent to 2.5 per cent; and new taxation laws to enable the sale of rough diamonds in Special Notified Zones in Mumbai. IGJME meanwhile showcased innovative technical know-how and cutting-edge production techniques. At the show, buyers interacted with leading suppliers of machinery, tools, components, packaging accessories and related products from all over the globe. 印度展喜迎正面動力 The 13 th IIJS Signature Gem & Jewellery Show kicked off this year’s buying season with more than 15,000 participants from 325 Indian cities and 55 countries visiting the show. 逾 15,000 名來自超過 55 個國家及印度本土業者出席第 13 屆印度 國際珠寶展。 GJEPC Chairman Pramod Kumar Agrawal, left, and Hon.
