Jin Suqin, chairman of Shenzhen Pearl One Culture Creative Co Ltd, is widely acclaimed in China for her determined efforts to nurture the country’s pearl culture through music. Known as “the woman who entrusts her soul to pearls,” Jin considers pearls as the love of her life. She combined this inherent passion with an entrepreneurial spirit to build a company whose mission is to preserve and further enrich Chinese consumers’ fascination for pearls. She consistently demonstrates vitality and creativity throughout her work in the pearl industry. Jin revealed that her avant-garde approach to advocating for pearls was inspired by the teachings of renowned Chinese philosopher Confucius on “music education” – a concept she learned from modern-day educator and academic Zou Zhongtang. Guided by this philosophy, Jin started writing songs that convey the mesmerising allure of pearls, which she hopes to inspire global interest.
