By the second half of the financial year 20212022, the company, known globally for its expansive white and silver South Sea pearls, witnessed its business fully recuperating, with total pearl production reaching more than 640,000 from around 500,000 pre-pandemic. Strong demand from major markets, including China, Hong Kong, Japan, Australia and Europe, continued to drive sales. Michael Ricci, CEO of Atlas Pearls, attributed solid business growth to increasing demand for high-quality South Sea pearls as the market becomes more aware of these luxurious and sustainable gems. “Several countries still enforce strict quarantine requirements, so we had to innovate and enhance our business model to continue to reach our key markets,” noted Ricci. He said that Atlas Pearls continuously develops its omnichannel sales strategy to attract and serve a growing number of customers in a manner that best suits them. The company is increasingly doing multichannel sales events in response to the pandemic. At Atlas Pearls’ latest hybrid auctions, the company observed intense competition between online bidders and those at physical events. Demand for premium white and silver South Sea pearls remains strong while keshi pearls are becoming popular. Meeting robust market demand is going to be a challenge, but Atlas Pearls has managed to maintain, and even grow, its operating capacity from pre-pandemic levels. Ricci remarked, “We are confident about maintaining regular supply of good-quality pearls through multiple customer events.” Atlas Pearls owns and manages seven pearl farms across the most remote marine locations. The company values sustainability, centred on supporting and enhancing communities and environments in the areas where Atlas Pearls operates. “Today’s consumers demand increased transparency and information about how and by which conditions goods are produced. So do we,” revealed Ricci. “Younger generations are driving demand for products aligned with their moral code.” Atlas Pearls’ farm Atlas Pearls的珍珠养殖场
