56 JNA AWARDS 2012 Nelson Jewellery Arts Co Ltd Hong Kong-based Nelson Jewellery Arts Co Ltd (NJA) has consistently been ahead of the curve in manufacturing and business practices since it was established in 1980. In little more than 30 years, the high-end platinum and gold jeweller has achieved great international success as an OEM jewellery manufacturer, exporter and retailer. In 1987, NJA was working out of a 7,000-square-foot space. Steady business growth allowed the company to move into a 12,000-square-foot facility in 1991. Now, the multinational entity operates out of its 30,000-square-foot headquarters in Hong Kong, with workshops in Panyu and Huizhou City in China and a diamond polishing facility in Thailand. Its distribution network includes sales offices in the US, Australia, the UK, Italy, Malaysia, Taiwan and Shanghai, China. NJA has evolved from a small-scale local producer to a well-respected international business known for pushing the boundaries of innovation.
