Smart technology Lukfook uses technology to improve operational efficiency and enhance the quality of customer service. In 2011, it launched a real-time sales monitoring tool on smartphones. This allows the management to keep track of the real-time sales performance of the group’s outlets anytime and anywhere. The data may also be accessed from desktop computers. The company has an online procurement system, which enables more than 920 retail outlets to electronically place their orders and arrange for the delivery of the goods. Users may also use the system to track their orders, and view images and 360-degree videos of jewellery pieces. Lukfook’s tech-savviness benefits its retail clients. The company said it is the first jewellery retailer to launch a smartphone app that provides up-to-date gold jewellery prices, enabling its clients to keep track of any gold price movements. The group also set up a Gold Price Index on the wedding portal, “wedding.esdlife.com, ” a government-run all-in-one portal.
