Some of its most notable innovations include Martin Flyer’s “FlyerFit” diamond engagement rings, which are among the industry’s most sought- after bridal ring collections, and Gregg Ruth’s couture jewellery collection, which are among KGK Group’s bestselling designs. More recently, the jewellery group’s head designer in China, Shincheng Wong, was awarded the Best Designer Award in China. KGK Group sells its jewellery collections under the “Entice” retail brand. Recently, the group launched the “Tessera” diamond collection, which features a patented “layered” setting technique; the “Color Crown” semiprecious stones collection, which uses an innovative border setting to emphasise the gems; and the “Silver Cuff” lightweight jewellery collection, which showcases innovative technique. More than the certifications and accolades, the one element that KGK Group values the most is its people, who continue to innovate and provide outstanding contributions to the group, said Sanjay Kothari, vice chairman of KGK Group. “We have a teamwho is passionate about what they do and this is what drives excellence and innovation,” Kothari said. “We have a very strong feedback-action manufacturing system to monitor product quality and improve team efficiency. Constant feedback is given to production line personnel, who then make immediate adjustments to the operations or products.” KGK Group maintains high levels of quality and customer satisfaction, and employees continuously update their skills through various training programmes, Kothari noted. The group’s jewellery manufacturing facility in Guangdong, China, has nearly 1,000 workers who produce at least 32,000 to 35,000 pieces of jewellery and 14,000 carats of diamonds monthly. “We adhere to the industry’s best practices and employ quality people who have the drive to improve service while controlling internal costs,” Kothari explained, adding that the group values the health and welfare of its employees and their families. “KGK maintains a centrally air-conditioned 60,000-square-foot factory, which provides the best possible working environment for our employees. Health and safety standards are our top priorities.” KGK being shortlisted for the Manufacturer of the Year category at the inaugural JNA Awards underscores the group’s commitment to excellence and service, he said. “It is truly an honour to be recognised as one of the honourees for the Manufacturer of the Year category.
