Diamond jeweller Hearts on Fire has appointed Dave Zhou as general manager, China, to oversee the brand’s development and growth in the region.
Zhou has over 20 years of experience in Greater China, having worked in regional leadership roles for various luxury brands including Hermès, Bottega Veneta and Lanvin and most recently, for bridal group Pronovias, where he served as Asia managing director.
He will be reporting to Rita Maltez, global president of Hearts on Fire.
In his new role, Zhou will lead Hearts on Fire’s China team, which is responsible for commercial, marketing and communications, customer engagement, and retail operations.
The company said Zhou’s appointment is part of a strategic transformation programme aimed at strengthening Hearts on Fire’s positioning in the Chinese luxury sector.
“China is an important market and represents a tremendous opportunity for us,” Maltez said, adding that Zhou’s expertise will be instrumental in establishing Hearts on Fire as a leading fine jewellery brand for Chinese consumers.
