Business, market and design trends take centrestage at JNA webinars and trade discussions during Jewellery & Gem Digital World from October 27 to 29, 2020.
JNA’s sessions featuring renowned industry players in the international gem and jewellery industry will be part of the Jewellery & Gem Knowledge Community’s content programme for the virtual event organised by Informa Markets and Atelier Technology.
In keeping with the event’s Trend Watch theme for October 28, JNA is presenting three special events revolving around design directions.
At 11am Hong Kong time, legendary jewellery creator Wallace Chan reveals his creative process and design philosophy in an enchanting session on art, vision and innovation. JNA Conversations: Wallace Chan’s Universe of Artistry also delves into the designer’s approach to invention and the inspiration behind some of his groundbreaking jewellery pieces.
Silver jewellery trends take the limelight at 3pm HKT. In JNA Design Talk: Silver Jewellery, Gloria Maccaroni, director of brand development at the Silver Promotion Service (SPS), unveils the latest design trends for the white metal. She also reveals market opportunities in the silver jewellery space that the industry can tap for business recovery.
At 5pm HKT, award-winning designer Stephen Webster examines the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on design trends and consumer preferences. JNA Conversations: Jewellery Design Directions likewise touches on design trends for 2021 and effective consumer engagement in the new normal.
JNA also takes a closer look at market developments in key sectors of the jewellery trade in its JNA Trade Talk: Pulse of the Industry series.
On October 28, International Colored Gemstone Association President Clement Sabbagh identifies challenges and bright spots in the coloured gemstone trade at 12 noon HKT, while Yoshihiro Shimizu, chairman of the Japan Pearl Exporters’ Association, discusses the current state of Japan’s pearl export market at 4pm.
Yoram Dvash, president of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses, shares his insights on major developments in the diamond trade at 2pm HKT on October 29.
