Bangkok-based Asian Institute of Gemological Sciences (AIGS) has opened a facility in Shanghai to meet a rising demand for gemstone reports in the Chinese market.
The new AIGS lab, located in downtown Shanghai in the Huangpu district, was inaugurated on June 12.
AIGS is expecting to play a crucial role in the Chinese luxury market by providing reliable and internationally recognised gemstone testing.
“AIGS gemmologists follow the most rigorous procedures to carry out tests on each gem and use the most modern, advanced instruments to analyse gems accurately and efficiently,” said Kennedy Ho, chairman of AIGS. “The new branch will add great value for our customers in China, many of whom we have known for a long time already.”
The AIGS facility in Shanghai offers a comprehensive range of gemstone and jewellery analysis reports for a variety of coloured gems including rubies, sapphires and emeralds, as well as diamonds.
