Bonhams recently named Eleonora D'Ottavi as new head of jewellery in Italy where she is tasked to provide valuation services and source gems to be sold in New York, London and Hong Kong.
D'Ottavi previously worked at Christie’s where she undertook specialist roles in Milan, Geneva, Paris and Rome.
Bonhams Global Head of Jewellery Jean Ghika commented, “Eleonora brings the ideal combination of international experience and proven commercial ability to help build Bonhams’ jewellery business in Italy.”
D'Ottavi is the latest addition to Bonhams international jewellery team following the appointment of luxury specialist and Bulgari alumni Bobbie Hu as chairman of greater China. Hu is focused on growing Bonhams’ jewellery presence in the region and will be assisted by recently appointed client liaison manager, Nancy Chiu.
