An impressive selection of coloured gemstones is front and centre at Jewellery & Gem WORLD Hong Kong (JGW), led by tantalising Paraiba tourmalines and Santa Maria aquamarines alongside ravishing unheated rubies.
Brazil Paraiba Mine, founded in 1998, is bringing its highly coveted Paraiba tourmalines in a variety of shapes and cuts, including ovals and pears. “We are the largest Paraiba tourmaline mine in the world, with gems recognised and certified by renowned gemmological laboratories,” the company said.
Meanwhile, rubies of the finest quality are headlining the product offerings of Thailand’s Veerasak Gems Co Ltd. These include a pair of exceptional unheated Mozambique rubies and expertly cut polished rubies in different shapes, to name a few.
Backed by almost 50 years of experience in the trade, Veerasak is eyeing to do business with international jewellers, gemstone dealers and collectors at JGW 2025.
SM Gems Ltd of Hong Kong is also presenting an expansive array of coloured gemstones such as rubellite in rich, ruby-like colours ranging from vibrant reds to pinks. Also taking centre stage at its booth are Santa Maria aquamarines, a premium variety of aquamarines known for their deep, saturated blue colour.
Originally mined in Brazil’s Santa Maria de Itabira region, the gems’ vivid hue sets it apart from lighter aquamarines. Valued for their clarity and elegance, Santa Maria aquamarines are highly sought after and considered among the finest aquamarines available.
