Vivid colour, rarity and provenance are the main selling points of highly coveted coloured gemstones, some of which are taking pride of place at Jewellery & Gem ASIA Hong Kong (JGA).
Headlining these gems are rubies, to be displayed in full splendour by companies like Veerasak Gems Co Ltd at the fair, which will be held from June 20 to 23, 2024.
Veerasak of Thailand has more than four decades of gemstone cutting and polishing expertise, specialising in rubies sourced directly from the mines of Mozambique and Myanmar. The company will also present sapphire, spinel and peridot at the show.
An expansive array of top-quality coloured gemstones, meanwhile, will illuminate Germany-based Paul Wild OHG’s display windows at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre.
Among the highlights of Paul Wild's product offerings are Paraiba tourmaline from Mozambique, tanzanite, Nigerian Mandarin garnet as well as aquamarine from Brazil.
Thailand’s AB Impex Co Ltd, for its part, is aiming to dazzle buyers with its collection of premium-quality Colombian emeralds. The emeralds come in a variety of shapes and grades. AB Impex has more than 20 years of gemstone manufacturing experience.
