Lustrous pearls of varying size, shape and colour will take centre stage at Jewellery & Gem ASIA Hong Kong (JGA) scheduled for June 20 to 23 this year at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Golden South Sea pearls, for instance, are the stars of Wing Hang Jewellery Co Ltd’s offerings at the four-day fair. The company said it will feature a wide assortment of top-quality South Sea pearls, from smaller-sized pearls to one-of-a-kind baroque and “rare, imperial” golden variants.
“We are renowned for producing good-quality matching strands as well as fine matching lots, pairs, sets and customised orders,” noted Wing Hang. Its pearls, sourced directly from the farms, undergo strict quality control on lustre, body colour, shape and overtone.
Another company shining the spotlight on the beauty of pearls is Sainte Pure Co Ltd, which has more than 300 retail stores in Japan where it mainly sells bridal and pearl jewellery. It also offers original and OEM products.
The company is showcasing a wide selection of loose Japanese Akoya pearls and Japanese Akoya pearl jewellery. “Our pearls, bearing the coveted natural white colour, hail from Iki, Nagasaki Prefecture. These high-quality Akoya pearls are cultured for about two years,” remarked Sainte Pure.
The mysterious black pearl, meanwhile, is at the centre of Boutique - Import H&V’s product offerings. With its expertise in Tahitian pearls, H&V is eyeing to grow its customer base in Southeast Asia by end-2025. “To do this, the company is building relationships with local businesses through international fairs in Hong Kong,” it added.
Meanwhile, DND Co Ltd of Japan aims to catch the fancy of buyers with its vast collection of fine-quality South Sea, Tahitian and Akoya pearls – loose or strands.
