A captivating confluence of exotic brights, earthy mid-tones, timeless neutrals and an array of eco-inspired foliage greens and expansive blues makes up Pantone’s colours for Spring/Summer 2025.
Pantone, the global authority on colour and provider of professional colour standards for design industries, released the Pantone® Fashion Color Trend Report Spring/Summer 2025 edition for New York Fashion Week (NYFW) in early September. Published for the fashion industry by the Pantone Color Institute, this season’s report features the top 10 standout colours as well as the five new seasonless shades that fashion designers are expected to introduce in their new Spring/Summer 2025 collections.
“Combining comfort and glam, colours for NYFW Spring/Summer 2025 blend wearability with desirability,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute. “Imbued with appealing deliciousness, they are practical and pragmatic, displaying character and depth but with a fashionable twist that elevates them from the traditional into something much more current and stimulating.”
This collection of versatile hues provides a rich breeding ground for recalibrating one’s personal style and individuality, noted the institute. These colours likewise speak to people’s desire for authenticity and to align themselves with the natural world.
The 10 standout colours are Bran (shade of orange), Crocus (medium light shade of magenta), Lime Cream (light shade of yellow-green), Limpet Shell (light shade of cyan), White Grape (citrusy green), Déjà vu Blue (dark shade of cyan-blue), Kashmir (shade of green), Misted Marigold (warm shade of yellow), Orangeade (red orange) and Cocoon (medium light shade of yellow), while the seasonless shades are Eclipse (dark shade of blue-magenta), Antique White (very light shade of yellow), Rum Raisin (medium dark shade of red), Moonbeam (soft neutral shade) and Blue Granite (shade of blue).
In the jewellery world, these colours could shine in classic and fashion-forward jewellery designs using an eclectic range of fancy colour diamonds, coloured gemstones and precious raw materials. Top-of-mind gems are brown and grey diamonds, amethyst, peridot, blue topaz, tourmaline, lapis lazuli, citrine and mandarin garnet, to name a few. Yellow gold also falls within the standout colour category, thanks to its warm, comforting hue.
