Diamonds are highly favoured centre gems in one-of-a-kind jewellery pieces, thanks to their enduring charm and reputation as a symbol of eternity, triumph and sophistication.
Extraordinary collections from esteemed jewellers continue to exemplify the brilliance of diamonds.
Bulgari recently unveiled a new high-end collection called “Aeterna” as a tribute to the maison’s 140th anniversary. The Serpenti Aeterna necklace, hailed by Bulgari as “the most precious necklace” it has ever created, stands out as a testament to the enduring allure of diamonds.
A rough diamond of over 200 carats was cut to create seven pear-shaped, flawless D-colour diamond drops that serve as the necklace’s centrepiece. With a combined weight of 140 carats, each drop represents a year in the brand’s rich history. The drops are embraced in a sinuous three-dimensional wave structure in platinum. A total of 698 baguette diamonds weighing 61.81 carats complete the necklace.
De Beers, for its part, celebrates the transformative power of natural diamonds through its Metamorphosis by De Beers high jewellery collection.
Featuring bold designs inspired by nature’s perpetual evolution, the collection captures the essence of the four seasons while championing movement and versatility. Twenty pieces from the collection are transformable.
The Winter set, comprising diamond jewellery in white gold, exudes glacial purity, reminiscent of angular fragments of ice found on frozen lakes and rivers. The pieces are skilfully crafted by combining various diamond-setting and gold-finishing techniques to depict the fluidity and diverse states of water.
“The set is crowned by an extraordinary, avant-garde tiara, representing the pinnacle of innovative design and exceptional craftsmanship,” De Beers remarked.
