Fresh and innovative jewellery designs from esteemed houses celebrate the enduring brilliance of diamonds in a new light, reinforcing their reputation as the most versatile of natural stones.
Leading this trend is Louis Vuitton, which recently unveiled its LV Diamonds Collection. This sparkling selection of diamond jewellery features the LV Monogram Star Cut that recreates the brand’s iconic monogram flower.
“The fruit of sophisticated savoir-faire exclusive to the maison, these diamonds draw on unique mastery of traditional techniques to give them their distinctive and perfectly symmetrical shape and unparalleled multifaceted radiance,” remarked the brand.
In line with a global movement towards sustainable environmental and social practices in the diamond industry, Louis Vuitton also introduced a fully digital blockchain-based Louis Vuitton Diamond Certificate alongside the new collection.
The digital certificate employs the Aura blockchain technology to store information about each stone – from its mining origins to its transformation into jewellery.
De Beers Jewellers, meanwhile, is shining the spotlight on rare diamonds in its latest high jewellery collection – Forces of Nature. This collection highlights eight solitaire diamond rings, each with an accompanying crown or jacket, inspired by eight animals from Southern Africa.
Highlights of the collection include the lion-inspired jacket ring, adorned with a mane of beaded gold, surrounding a 5.09-carat warm-white, trilliant-cut diamond; and the zebra jacket ring, which features a pair of diamonds and lacquered zebras on either side of a 3.09-carat asscher-cut diamond.
Céline Assimon, CEO of De Beers Jewellers, commented, “Featuring rough diamonds and playful hidden details, these transformable rings are also tribute to the evolution of De Beers Jewellers, from purveyor of the finest solitaire diamonds to a leading creative force in contemporary high jewellery.”
