China-based lab-grown diamond (LGD) manufacturer Zhengzhou Sino Crystal Diamond Co Ltd is expanding its product portfolio to include a broader selection of fancy colour LGDs.
The company is now gearing up for mass production of fancy colour LGDs in red, pink, yellow, blue and green. Zhengzhou Sino Crystal has been manufacturing white LGDs in large quantities since 2014.
In addition, it has introduced two LGD grading standards – “Grading of Fancy Colored Laboratory-grown Diamond” and “Grading of Fancy Colored Laboratory-grown Rough Diamond” – which outline how the company grades and evaluates polished and rough fancy colour LGDs in terms of colour, clarity, quality and cut.
Zhang Jianhua, technical head of Zhengzhou Sino Crystal, said these fancy colour LGD grading standards are “significant to the development of the global LGD industry” as standardisation will facilitate better communication and understanding of fancy colour LGDs among industry players.
Zhengzhou Sino Crystal is also launching its lab-grown diamond jewellery brand called HUAJEW. The brand will specialise in “guochao” (China chic) jewellery, which blends Chinese aesthetics with contemporary styles. Fancy colour LGDs is expected to figure prominently in HUAJEW’s LGD jewellery collections.
“HUAJEW is positioned as ‘Chinese diamonds’ for Generation Z buyers. We will leverage the integration of online and offline sales channels to provide LGD jewellery with oriental aesthetics,” the company stated.
Founded in December 2004 and based in Henan, China, Zhengzhou Sino Crystal specialises in the development, manufacturing and sale of LGDs, auxiliary superhard materials and related products.
