The Asia Fancy Color Diamond Association (AFCDIA) and China Hainan International Cultural Relics and Art Trading Center will work together to promote fancy colour diamonds in China through a recently signed cooperation framework agreement.
The partnership, sealed during the 3rd China International Consumer Products Expo (CICPE) in Hainan in April 2023, stipulates implementing various initiatives in Hainan, leveraging AFCDIA’s expertise in fancy colour diamonds and the extensive network resources of Hainan International Cultural Relics and Art Trading Center.
The deal is also aimed at pushing for the development of the Hainan Free Trade Port.
AFCDIA said it intends to build up fancy colour diamonds as a premium luxury product and to bolster promotion of a fancy colour diamond culture in China. Lily Leung, founding chairman of AFCDIA, said visitors to CICPE expressed keen interest in fancy colour diamonds, which further strengthened their commitment to the China market.
“It was an invaluable experience to be part of such a huge show in the country where they could engage the trade and consumers directly, cultivate the culture of fancy colour diamonds, find new business for members, and introduce fancy colour diamonds as a voguish investment option to mainland Chinese consumers,” noted Leung.
