The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) is now accepting scholarship applications from prospective US and international students until May 15, 2023 for classes starting July throughout the year. 

Merit-based scholarship applications for classes starting in 2024 beginning in August 2023 are also accepted.

“One of the most important ways we ensure consumer trust and confidence in the gem and jewellery industry is by making our education accessible to students and professionals throughout the supply chain to help them improve their knowledge and skills,” said Duncan Pay, GIA senior vice president of education and chief academic officer. 

GIA said beed-based scholarships are accessible year-round for prospective US students.
