Luxury conglomerate Richemont reported robust jewellery sales in the third quarter of fiscal year 2021, demonstrating steady market demand for high-end jewellery.
The group said jewellery sales from luxury houses Buccellati, Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels rose 38 per cent year on year during the period ending December 31, 2021.
“The jewellery maisons were the strongest performing business area,” noted Richemont. “The specialist watchmakers also performed markedly well with sales increasing by 25 per cent while the online distributors posted 15 per cent sales growth.”
Compared with pre-Covid 2019, Q3 jewellery sales were up 57 per cent while other business areas grew...
