The Istanbul Jewelry Show (IJS) is opening its doors from May 27 to 30 this year at the CNR Expo Istanbul Fair Center, event organiser Informa Markets announced.
Enhanced health and safety protocols will be followed throughout the event to ensure protection of all exhibitors and visitors at the venue, the company said.
Şermin Cengiz, founding partner of UBM Rotaforte, commented, “This year marks an important milestone for IJS, which we have been organising for 36 years. This fair will be our 50th. Improving in parallel with the growth of the jewellery industry since 1986, our fair will rapidly adapt to the new normal and stay competent.” IJS is held twice a year every March and October, except last year when shows were postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to the organiser, Informa Markets’ AllSecure health and safety standards will provide vendors and buyers at the fair with the assurance and confidence that they are participating in a secure and controlled event.
An international buying committee programme will be implemented at the show in a bid to boost Turkey’s jewellery exports sector by discovering new markets and strengthening existing ones.
Fuelled by solid buyer interest and increasing number of participants each year, the Designer Market will meanwhile shine the spotlight on jewellery designers and their latest collections.
