The JNA Awards has invited representatives from leading gemstone and jewellery companies to talk about the rising importance of technology and sustainability in the trade at two Tech Talk sessions scheduled for October 27.

The events, organised by JNA Awards as part of the Jewellery & Gem Knowledge Community education-based programme, will be held on October 27, the first day of Jewellery & Gem Digital World.

Tech Talk: Diamonds and Gemstones and Tech Talk: Sustainability will be broadcast at 12nn and 4pm HKT respectively, followed by the JNA Awards 2020 virtual ceremony at 8pm HKT. 

Speakers at Tech Talk: Diamonds and Gemstones will discuss how technology has transformed the diamond and gemstone business, and how game-changers in the trade are setting new standards, creating solutions, improving productivity, reducing wastage and cost, and boosting consumer confidence.

Tech Talk: Sustainability meanwhile will have as panel of speakers jewelllery industry players from different continents who will tak about their commitment to achieving sustainability in the jewellery trade and how technology can be used to minimise business operations' negative impact on the environment.

The webinars will be followed by the JNA Awards 2020 virtual ceremony. 

A series of JNA Awards Trade Talks featuring its Partners will also be aired throughout the J&G Digital World scheduled for October 27 to 29.
