The Taiwan Jewellery & Gem Fair 2019 ended with favourable results, attracting 7,516 visitors from 33 regions and countries, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, India, Japan, Jordan, Malaysia, Switzerland, the Philippines and the US.
The four-day event generated over US$20 million in total revenue, according to organiser Informa Markets.
Targeting connoisseurs, high-end consumers and jewellery designers, this year’s edition of the Taiwan Fair presented paintings of modern art at the show, in collaboration with two galleries. This section generated more than 1,600 new visits.
Fancy colour diamond and coloured gemstone jewellery pieces adorned with emeralds, rubies, sapphires and jadeite were highly sought after at the show. Exceptional pieces also made their debut this year, including a 6.06-carat fancy intense green diamond, a 2.06-carat unmounted fancy vivid greenish-blue diamond and a 1.35-carat fancy purple diamond ring.
A series of events was also held on the sidelines of the Taiwan Fair, including a diamond polishing activity as well as seminars and designated VIP tours. Citing results of a post-show survey, the organiser said visitor satisfaction rates reached 90 percent.
The Taiwan Jewellery & Gem Fair 2020 is scheduled for November 20 to 23 at the Taipei World Trade Center.
