The Gemological Science International (GSI) is providing diamond testing and screening services to jewellery manufacturers and retailers at the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show.
The company is showcasing its gemmological services through the use of modern equipment for testing and screening undisclosed lab-grown diamonds.
GSI’s full-service lab in Hong Kong opened last September to better support the company’s customer base in Hong Kong and China. A highlight of the company’s core offerings is the screening and testing of loose stones and jewellery for undisclosed lab-grown diamonds – providing a critical checkpoint for goods being exported through Hong Kong.
To date, GSI has screened millions of jewellery units, with tens of millions of diamonds, through its proprietary screening process utilising advanced technologies that speed up procedures and delivery time without compromising accuracy or quality.
According to Debbie Azar, GSI president and co-founder, demand for screening and testing services is at an all-time high as the industry contends with challenges posed by undisclosed lab-grown diamonds.
“Hong Kong is a major centre for the international diamond and jewellery industry, and our facility there brings the full scope of our laboratory services to customers locally and across Asia,” noted Azar.
