Fine jewellery pieces, evoking the most celebrated symbols of love, are making their way into the jewellery market in time for Valentine’s Day.
Luxury jewellery houses capitalised on consumers’ long-standing love affair with hearts, love letters and eternity emblems in their latest Valentine’s Day collections featuring diamond- and coloured-gem studded rings, pendants and bracelets.
Love letters are the crux of Harry Winston’s With Love from Harry Winston Diamond Charms in 18-karat gold or platinum, which can be paired with four other Harry Winston charms: Pave Diamond Heart, Cluster Heart, HW Logo and HW Logo ring.
A Valentine’s Day limited-edition collection that includes diamond and ruby timepieces was also launched in time for February 14.
In contrast to diamonds, Gübelin Jewellery aims to captivate women with a ring adorned with a rare 2.14-carat pink sapphire whose shape denotes the most time-honoured symbol of love: The heart.
The ring, a fresh addition to the Glowing Ember line, is furthered accentuated with diamonds along the shank that lend the sapphire additional fire, “reminiscent of the fire of love,” according to the jeweller.
Sapphires belong to the corundum family and have a broad range of colours, extending from blue through yellow, orange, violet all the way to pink. The 2.14-carat sapphire in this collection comes in radiant pink, bringing to mind love, romance and tenderness, noted the jeweller.
De Beers Jewellers meanwhile elevates gift-giving on Valentine’s Day to a new level with diamond jewellery pieces in fresh and invigorating designs, including an eclectic variety of bejewelled items from the jeweller’s Dewdrop, Talisman and Infinity collections.
The new Dewdrop ring and bangle in yellow gold features round brilliant diamonds that are evocative of water droplets between two bands of micropavé diamonds for a contemporary finish. The Dewdrop collection is all about fresh beginnings and exciting possibilities.
The Talisman You & Me bangles – a slim-line 18-karat yellow gold hinged bangle and a larger 18-karat white gold open bangle – are inspired by the union of two souls with harmoniously paired rough diamonds. This signature, hand-created texture fills the entire surface of the metals while lifting the rough diamonds towards the light.
Representing the path of never-ending possibilities, the Infinity bracelet in 18-karat white and rose gold meanwhile showcases the eponymous symbol with an interweaving line of micropavé diamonds set on a delicate chain.
