Exquisite jewellery pieces from some of the industry’s most talented designers are illuminating the halls of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre at Jewellery & Gem WORLD Hong Kong (JGW) 2025.
Gem artist Alexander Laut is aiming to charm buyers with his vivid collections of cocktail rings embellished with the rarest coloured gemstones. His eponymous brand, Alexander Laut Co Ltd, is highlighting three exceptional platinum pieces.
These are the Sapphire Kiss ring with a 20.30-carat Sri Lankan blue sapphire centre stone and 1.85 carats of diamonds; a ring adorned with a 28.46-carat spessartite garnet focal gem with 1.35 carats of diamonds, 1.76 carats of tsavorites and 2.52 carats of blue sapphires as accents; and a ring with a 4.27-carat Mozambique Paraiba tourmaline with 1.50 carats of diamonds.
Hong Kong jeweller Austy Lee is likewise taking JGW by storm with his one-of-a-kind, enigmatic designs. Lee, founder and designer of Austy Lee Art Jewellery, has more than two decades of experience in the jewellery industry. He founded his own brand in 2017.
His collections combine bold ideas, psychedelia and sculptural intricacy, with eclectic influences ranging from pop-punk to religion and antiquity. Each design is enriched with vibrant, rare gemstones and crafted as wearable art.
Three hero pieces are turning heads at Lee’s booth: The Deep Blue Icicles earrings in 18-karat white gold with tanzanite stones, abalone shells, blue sapphires and diamonds; The X’frame ring in 18-karat rose gold with spessartite garnet, mother-of-pearl, abalone shells, red enamel and diamonds; and the Pink Fragrance of Magnolia brooch in 18-karat rose gold with conch pearls, abalone shells, pink sapphires and diamonds.
Exceptional designs are also adorning the display windows of Hong Kong-based jeweller Ken Chan. Highlights include the Deco and Integrated - Crack diamond rings in 18-karat gold with jadeite, and Simple Luxury stacking rings in 18-karat gold with rubies and diamonds.
Award-winning designer Pui In Catherine Siu, meanwhile, is showcasing rare and exotic gemstones in her handmade creations. With nearly 15 years of industry experience, she blends traditional craftsmanship, artistry and gemmological knowledge to craft meaningful pieces. Displayed in her booth are the Desire fire opal and diamond pendant/brooch; the Orient malachite and diamond pendant and the Orient black onyx and diamond pendant, to name a few.
Designer Hiroko Saito, a member of the Japan Jewellery Designers Association, is also presenting her latest pearl creations through her company, H-iron.
Headlining her product offerings are a mesmerising necklace combining baroque Tahitian pearls with lemon quartz and an Indian star ruby, tourmaline and baroque South Sea pearl necklace.
