High-quality coloured gemstones are catching the fancy of professional trade buyers at Jewellery & Gem ASIA Hong Kong (JGA) 2025.
Among the prized stones sparkling in the display windows of Sri Gems’ booth are a 31-carat blue sapphire, a 14-carat yellow sapphire and a 23-carat Mahenge spinel.
One of the largest gemstone dealers in Sri Lanka, the company is known for its expertise in pink sapphires, alexandrites, blue sapphires, Padparadscha sapphires, tsavorites and spinels, among other coloured gemstones.
It sources its rough from renowned mines in Sri Lanka, Madagascar and Tanzania. These are then cut and polished in-house to ensure quality and consistency.
China’s Longtom Gems Co, meanwhile, offers enchanting emeralds, rubies, aquamarines, morganites and other gems. Highlights include emeralds from Zambia, Pakistan and Colombia as well as unheated rubies from Mozambique. In business for some 35 years now, the company has its own cutting and polishing factory in Panyu, Guangzhou.
